I am invited

I attended the conference at school yesterday morning for my little girl. I saw some of my co-parents and have a little talk after the meeting. We know each other well as we've been together since our children were in grade one. One of my co-parents told me that her son will have a party next month. She handed me an invitation card and asked me to bring along my kids at the party. The invitation card is unusual, it's pretty but I told her it doesn't fit for the theme of the party. Maybe she doesn't know yet about luau invitations. I quickly referred her to the site so the next time she'll have the party again, she can choose a better one to suit for the occasion. I am not much into invitation. Sometimes I just call the guest over the phone but I think it is very informal to invite them that way. My thought is that, instead of spending it for an invitation, I can use it for other materials for the party. But I was wrong, an invitation is such a very sweet way of inviting someone where you can put the name, date and theme of the occasion. What do you consider in choosing an invitation? Do you want it personalized with your own design? Check out the site now to help you decide and choose the best one for the occasion.

Sweet Blog Award

Thank you so much Simply Kim of Kimmy Schemy for this very sweet award. Receiving an award is a precious one for me.

Sorry that I have to break the rule. I was supposed to pass this to ten people. Thanks so much Kim! You're so sweet to pass this award to me.

keeping the house

I spent time yesterday sorting out old things in the house. I found out that my children have too many books which they used last year. I thought it would be good if I just donate some old books online. For me it is not only a mere contribution of books but sharing love of literacy. It is such a very rewarding feeling aside from keeping the house from too many clutter. I am not an OC mom, I just want to keep things organized. I keep the supplies in place, sorting the old and new one. It is nice to see things and furniture in proper place as it gives positive vibes in my life.

I'm happy for what I've accomplished today. I already pulled out the old clothes as I'm planning to buy a bedroom dresser later. Not today, not tomorrow or next week as I have no enough budget for it. My older daughter would be very surprise once the furniture is delivered in the house. But it wont happen yet as I haven't purchase any. I hope to have more online tasks so I can buy the bedroom dresser soon. I got two opps today but it is not enough to buy the dresser. My children are growing older now and they need more space for their own stuff.

Internet Marketing

Now that there is an Internet Marketing Company, building traffic and gaining higher rank is now as easy as abc. I started blogging as hobby and only knew about ranking and domain after few months of blogging. I also learned about Technorati and Alexa rank when I read from other blogger's post about this. Since then, I started to discover how they earn rank in their own blogs. Sometimes I am too busy to update my blog or I have this mood where I can't write anything. But I am too scared of losing my rank so even if I am not in the mood or experiencing this blogger's block, I still find time to post anything so as not to lose my rank. I have too many posts in my draft page that are yet to publish. In short I am running out of words but still blogging is on top of my hobby. I would be happy with higher rank but for now, I would rely on the mouth of the blogger and follow the steps on how they earn ranks in their blogs. I earned money from this hobby and I love blogging more not because I am earning but because I enjoy doing it. Building traffic is just so easy now. This is a great tool in blogging so please check it out now.

Nostalgia # 6

This is my 6th entry for Nostalgia and I am so glad that I am able to share some of my past that makes me feel so Nostalgic.

I always remember when I was a kid everytime I see chairs of this kind. We used to have this kind of chair in my childhood years and memories flash back in my mind whenever I see this. It reminds me of my parents too and my siblings while we were dining together. But we have a rectagular table not this round one. We also have a long bench because four chairs were not enough for eight members of the family. Sad that those chairs were not preserved. I saw this kind of chair in some blogs and considered it as antique already.
I just miss those days so much.

Happy Father's Day!!

My Business Card

I hardly remember the names of the person in any meetings or even simple gatherings that I have attended before. When I went to attend in a blogger's event few weeks ago, I only remember those who gave me business cards. When I got home, I checked each of their website as indicated in the card. I realized then how important it is to have a business card especially if you own multiple account. I find it hard to remember the url address of any blogs except if it is provided in the card. So it is just important to have a business card where you can put all the important details including your name, company, url of your blog, telephone number and email address.

I just thought of getting my own custom business cards today. The next time I attend to an event, I will no longer use a pad and pen for my contact details. A unique design is also important to recognize and remember the owner of the card. So check out the link above and create your own design now!

You Got It

I can't get over with the concert last night. I watched PGT You Got It Concert and Jovit Baldivino made the opening number in the reunion concert. This young man impressed me more with what he had shown last night in his rock star voice performing Bon Jovi's hits. He also played the guitar in his acoustic duet with Yeng Constantino. I think it was his first time to perform in a big stage not as a contestant but a real artist. Way to go Jovit!

school supplies

We were supposed to go out to buy more supplies for my kids but my older daughter came home so tired from school. I let her rest for a while but then she fell in deep sleep. She needs to buy more things for school. School days just started and so we expect more expenses to come this week. Aside from the list that was given to them before the start of schoolyear, we still need to buy more school supplies like index card, manual for Laboratory Science and some drafting materials. Other supplies like printer ink will be purchased online. I think it is cheaper to buy direct at the website, besides I can choose different ink of high quality brand if I purchase it online. Being mom, I need to be smart in buying things for my kids. Days are getting harder today. I have to eliminate buying unnecessary things that are not really important and allocate the money that I saved to other school projects and activities in the future. Are you done with your list too? Here's my school supplies shopping tips for all moms out there. Do your shopping in the most earliest time to avoid the rush and long lines; and shop and compare between two stores and get the best offer, most affordable and discounted price.

Nostalgia #5: Music in my Heart

I don't really sing, I have no talent in singing but I love music. Singing has been my hobby so whenever I have free time at home, you would always see me in front of videoke singing on top of my lungs. huh! And do you know where I got this? My father. My late father loved singing and had this singing talent too. He sang very well in his time. I remember many years ago, my sister cried when she heard this song "My Way" that our father used to sing. Let me share few lines of the song here. Well I'm sure everybody here knows the song. Let me remind you that if you choose to sing this song, make sure that you sing it well..

And now, the end is near,
And so I face the final curtain.
My friends, I'll say it clear;
I'll state my case of which I'm certain.
I've lived a life that's full -
I've travelled each and every highway.
And more, much more than this, I did it my way.

Regrets? I've had a few,
But then again, too few to mention.
I did what I had to do
And saw it through without exemption.
I planned each charted course -

Each careful step along the byway,

And more, much more than this,
I did it my way.

We can't help but felt a little nostalgic with the song. There is something with the song that reminds us about Papsi. (Papsi, that's how we call him when we make lambing when he was still around) Father was a music lover, he used to play guitar, banduria and flute. Today, I only sigh that father did not experience to sing in videoke. We have no videoke that time, only karaoke.

Now you know why singing is my hobby and that is next to blogging. I love singing even if I'm out of tune. I love music and music lives in my heart.

Stay Young and Fresh Looking

They say at 40 or younger, a woman is already starting to build up wrinkles around her eyes. Most women are doing their best to stay young and pretty but still they can't hide about this aging problem. In our modern technology, people sometimes resort to anti-aging procedures like surgery but what about if you're scared of needle and painful operation? Your penny stock will be drained out and yet you won't achieve the youthful look that you desire. You can't stop growing old but you can do something to stay pretty and looking young forever.

OXIS International, Inc., is a company engaged in providing potent antioxidant, Ergothioneine (super antioxidant). ERGO is a super antioxidant, very powerful and multifaceted antioxidant such as Vitamin E, Vitamin C and glutathione. They produce and engage also in selling products that counteract the bad effects of oxidative stress. Oxidative Stress is the condition of our body's antioxidant when our body's defense mechanism can no longer sustain the ability to fight free radicals (which is known as highly reactive species of oxygen and nitrogen) that are pouring out. Oxidative stress increases as we grow old. Exposure to cigarette smoke, pollution, UV light are common causes of oxidative stress.

OXIS’ products focus on health concern including aging and other age related issues such as the following:

  • Brain health
  • Immunity against diseases
  • Anti-aging/skin health
  • Inflammation

Best Accounting

A very good friend of mine has been in the company he's working for over a decade now. I salute him for being so loyal to the company. He's about to retire now but he's thinking of putting a small business in his town. I've been bugging him to move to new a location but he is determined to stay there for life I guess. I told him he can set up a new business of his own but was scared running a business without any knowledge about accounting. He's not aware about the website all about Certified Public Accountants. The website does not only specializes in CPA's but also about licensing and best cpa review. I think this career is booming these days.

I'm in a hurry now. Sure he will be happy about this. He hasn't decided yet but soon as he knew it, I have no doubt he would keep this plan as he is retiring very soon. I couldn't think of any business right now, but definitely I would follow the trend of business today. Accounting related business is on my mind but I'll invest in something that I know I can hold on when I retire. Oh no. I want to invest money smartly, I don't want to grow old and be a burden to my children in the future.

Play Casino Online

When you say online gaming, it is not limited to online games that youngsters play. This is not just about RPG or role playing games. Online gaming means playing of games that are run through over a computer network. Although not all, generally it means playing games in the internet. Online games can be in different forms. A simple text based games but are played by multiple players simultaneously can be considered as an online game. Another kind of online game is casino games. And nowadays, a lot of people are getting more familiar with it. It's like playing your favorite roulette at the comfort of your own house and you can play even in your PJs. You can find a lot of sites in the net where you can download casino games. Though downloading seems to be a complicated term, I am sure it would be a very easy task to do.

Anyone who will play casino slot games, will just have to look for sites that offer this kind of game. And if I am not mistaken, there sites that list online games depending on their location. Finding an online game where the language is your native tongue is now as easy as click, click, click.

Can't find a job?

During those times when I was still looking for a job, I kept submitting my resume to different companies and it was really hard. I hopped from one building to another literally just to submit my resume. Job hunting became a career to me then. But I was so lucky that time, jobs kept on looking for me too. Yes, I searched for them, but there came a time that I have multiple offers and have to weigh things out to help me choose the job that would suit me well. Oh lala. I have to hide myself here. I'm not bragging, I'm just telling the truth. Well, I exerted much effort for that, walking along the street with resume in my hands and submit to my prospective employer is such a tough job. How lucky are these people today, all they need to do is click the website. Less effort, I would say.

I have known a lot of jobless people looking for a job but says they have no luck finding one. Aren't they aware about the website watchmaker jobs? The website will help you search job in your city and this is so easy. Just upload your resume and then browse job openings. Oops don't forget how to sell yourself into your prospective employer. Just be honest and remember that your resume is your passport to success.

granny forgets grandson in house fire

Have you read the news today? Of course I love my dog and my little girl loves also her pet so much. She would always tell me that in case of emergency, she would think nobody else but her pet. But what about when a granny thinks about the dog and not her grandson. Oh well, read the full story here.

smart buyer

We're planning to go out tomorrow to buy more supplies since we only have six days or more for school opening. My children agreed to eliminate shopping of unnecessary stuff and shop only those that are really needed for school. Other school things like school shoes and bags were the ones they used last year and that's fine with them. They understand that days are getting harder and this is just part of our cost cutting measure. My teenage girl likes to buy more books rather than any other stuff and I think that's good for her. She's a bookworm. The only supplies that we bought the last time went out malling were pens, pencils and notebooks. I'm glad that my children were not after for material things and they're happy and satisfied only with what they have.

I bought ink last month but I think it is already empty. My little girl used to print pictures straight from the camera and that consumes much of the ink. Anyways, I'll check it online and see more available supplies. I'm a smart buyer and I always look for ink price comparison to help me choose quality and affordable product. I think I need to remind my children to just have the pictures printed in photo shop to save enough ink so that they can use it for their school project instead. Be a smart mom too, compare the prices first before you finally place your order online.

apply for loan

I always thought of buying DSLR for myself but when husband came home for vacation and gave me a cybershot, buying that camera was set aside. Although the resolution of this camera is quite good, my desire to own DSLR is still on my mind. When we went to the beach few weeks ago, my camera suddenly stopped working for no reason at all. I really don't know what happened and why a sudden stop but when I consulted a service for camera, the technician said that the power board needs to be repaired. I thought about it many times whether to leave my camera in the hands of technician or not. I am full of doubt leaving my camera to them besides I still need to check if it is still covered with warranty.

Now that it is not working, I am considering of buying a DSLR again. I have a little earnings which I really saved and allocated for camera and if that happens, I'll be one happy owner of DSLR. I would suggest to a friend who wants to buy a camera too that she can have it if she applies for bad credit loans. It is a kind of loan for someone who has bad credit. Honestly, I'm scared of any kind of loan that's why I saved hard just to have that camera for myself. Well then, since my friend badly needed it as a tool for her blogging, I'm quite sure she will check it out.

I am sick

"mother mother i am sick
call the doctor very quick
doctor doctor shall i die
no my darling do not cry.."

oh no, i am so sick today. i kept on sneezing the past two days, with runny nose and headache and now my body is feeling so weak with cough and colds. I just took medicine and hope that I will get better soon. The med has this sleepy effect and I'm feeling a little dizzy now. My only fear is that, the virus might spread in the house. Oh no. Not my kids please. Got to hit the bed now and isolate myself. I'll be up later, I just need more hours of sleep.

Oh well, don't worry too much, I think I'm still ok, I can still blog.

a vacation treat

I felt bad when I learned that my friend's house was robbed last week. She was totally devastated and it happened two days before her birthday. I felt sad for her as she treasured everything with what the robbers took from the house, including laptop, money and jewelry. But then, I told her that all those stuffs were only material things and in no time, she can buy all those gadgets again. I'm just glad that her family were all ok and safe. It happened while she and her kids were sleeping. I was chatting with her that night and I was really surprised the next day when I learned about that robbing incident in her house.

How I wish that I was beside her to comfort her that time. If only I can give her a gift like booking her to a caravan park holiday, then I would. She would be very happy for sure. She's a beach person and I guess, if I book her with this vacation, she would be very surprise. I think she needs a much relaxing time for herself. I could sense that she's a little bit stress lately and it is just perfect to give her a vacation treat. Wow, I only wish I could do that and we can spend some time together in yacht, sipping wine, or relax ourselves by the sea. Oh my, how I wish that gennie in bottle would come and grant all my wishes today.

grab the opportunity

Husband is one lucky guy to find a job few days after he arrived in US. Although it was still recession that time, I could say he's lucky enough to find a perfect job for him in no less than a month. I remember his worries when he first arrived, the fear of being jobless and a stranger to the place. But luck was on his side, and in no time he was offered not only a very nice job but the offer came from a very reputable company. Well, I think it is determination, perseverance and a little luck maybe to be successful in finding a job.

For most people who are now jobless, there's a solution to your problem now. Warehouse clerk jobs offer a job that specializes your profession. You can find employers in your area based on your skill. You can upload your resume and even browse job openings in any area needing for your profession. It is so easy to get the job that you want. All you need to do is click the link above. Upload your resume, choose the job title, location of your choice and then browse the job openings. Remember that opportunity knocks only once in your doorstep, so grab it right away.

Cleaning Equipment

Rainy days are expected to come in two weeks time. It's been raining the past few days already but it was only a little shower not even enough to fill the dam. I wonder if the government is ready for the coming rainy season. When we all suffered from drought caused by El Nino, we all prayed and cried for rain. But now that rain is coming, are we all ready and prepared for this? Well, I hope that there's no devastating flood again this year. Everyone must be aware that simple throwing of small pieces of garbage can clog the drainage.

Yesterday, there were few men cleaning the street along the highway. They were unclogging the drainage for smooth flow of flood going to the river. All garbage were pulled out but these men were complaining yesterday that they lack of equipment to be used to clean the surroundings. I hope that the government provides truck equipment so that these people will have the facilities to get there work done fast. I hope everyone will cooperate in cleaning the environment too and shoulder the responsibility in keeping the Metro clean. We must be a responsible citizen so that heavy flood will never happen again this year.

Nostalgia#3: so 80s

Photobucket

This would be my third entry for Nostalgia.
Let's take a trip down to nostalgia lane. I'll be featuring 80s music today.

I choose this entry as I love 80s so much. The likes of Spandau Ballet, Tears for Fears, Survivor, Duran Duran, Prince makes me nolstagic of the past or rock love songs of Europe, Toto, Guns N Roses. How about the songs of Expose, Eurythmics and many more. Aaahh so 80s. Whenever I hear the song "Everybody wants to rule the world" or any songs from 80s, it brings back memories of the past, enough to keep me up for the day. I just love the song so much. The CDs here are my favorite. I often play the CD that even my kids know the songs already and they sing with me too. Oh, it seems like yesterday when it was a hit and playing on the radio.

Do you love 80's music? I am so much of the 80's. I won't trade 80's music to any of today's hit. I bet you agree with me.

Please click the badge above for more Nostalgic past. Thanks Rose of Nostalgic Marveling for letting us share memories of the past.

Clean the Proffesional Way

If you visit me home, if I'm not blogging, probably you will catch me in my daily apron, cooking or baking, cleaning the house, doing the laundry, dusting, giving bath to my pet and all the chores for one stay at home mom tasks were all in my hand. If you would ask me if I have gotten fed up to all these, absolutely not! I love being stay at home mom, and I'm happy seeing myself doing what I've been dreaming of in my life. But wait, if a professional cleaning service would do everything for me, then that would be so much of a fun for me. I would have much extra time for myself and do blogging.

I remember two weeks ago when we went to the beach. I was really tired from that weekend getaway. It was only a day tour and very tiring trip as expected. I've posted in my previous entry how tired I was and what welcomes me after our vacation. List of things to do were lined up, tons of laundry, cluttered and messy house, up to neck dishes and everything that is tasked for stay at home mom. I've got no choice but do it myself and busied myself that day. I've got nobody to rely on and complain as I'm the queen of the house. Oh my, how I wished that day that professional cleaning crew would come to my house and do all the tasks for me. I really was exhausted then. My muscle pains a lot. My body just wants to lie down in a couch as I was like a rotten vegetable already. If only I have called for these people, then I would have enough time to relax. Well, the next time it happens again, I would definitely call for service. I don't want to get my body exhausted again and so I will have more time for blogging. They're just one call away anyway.
