what's up

First off, I'd like to thank Rose for tagging me as Beautiful Blogger. So, I deserve it. Lol. I'll work for the tag soon. Thanks also for all your reply in my inquiries especially about blog thing problem. I hope to catch you again online. The problem is, daytime here means bedtime in your end.

My plurkmate, online friend turned personal, (even without seeing her in person) is going through a tough time but I know she can get over it. I'll ask permission first if i could link her site here since it's a personal blog and she doesn't want everybody to crawl on her page. Not today, because of her today's post. Well she's to launch a new blog, so let's just wait for that and see. She's a little emo today. Girl, you can get over it, you'll see one day, you'll laugh about it.

Yes, its Saturday once again. I was supposed to attend Supermom Blog Event (again, supermom, that's me!) Haha, but important thing came up yesterday and needed to be prioritized. But then, the said appointment was moved. Sad. I should have attended the event instead. I know it will be fun filled activities and sure moms who participated have enjoyed. Sure. A blast.

Well, got a lot of things to do. I won't mention it here. Not now. I was in front of computer the whole morning, it's weekend anyway and I'm starting to experience some blog syndrome already. Lol. Anyways, before I put that blog syndrome into detail, let me first go straight to this post. I'm already in my 200th words (as if this is a paid post). My previous post in my blog were all about food. My scheduled post for Yummy Sunday will be up later. Now, my daughters are craving for Leche Flan. And I'll be blogging about it too, the smoothest Leche Flan ever. I stole the recipe from the famous Blogger Pehpot. I actually subscribed and bookmarked her page, so as not to miss any menu. It seems like I'll open a new blog about food (no, that's a joke, I don't think I could maintain it). My two, I mean three blogs are more than enough to make me busy. I'm no Pehpot who never run out of ideas in all of her eight blogs. You read it correct, eight blogs. Only Super Blogger can manage that. And yes, she did! She's a Super Blogger!

So there, gotta go to supermarket again to replenish grocery items. Yes! First item in our list, ingredients for Leche Flan. Bye now. Happy Weekend!

Yahoo! I resolved it!

I was checking my email last night when yahoo suddenly changed my status to "disconnected. " I thought it was a common error in loading due to slow connection or net problem. I tried to log in again later that night but still couldn't open the page. I didn't bother to check mails again and slept.
This morning, I opened my blog site and from google reader, I read about the virus that spread in one of my co-blogger. I freaked out and became paranoid. I opened my yahoo again for everal times but then the same status popped up into my window..

"You are not connected to the Internet.
The website is encountering problems.
There might be a typing error in the address.
Busy server, try again after few minutes."

So I googled the problem about my yahoo page. As hours passed by, I became worried and had this thought in my mind that my email was hacked, because it was limited to Yahoo page and I could open the other websites. To pacify myself, I ran at once to the nearest Net cafe and opened my email at the shop. Fortunately, loading was fine and opening my email was smoothly processed. I am not a techy girl but I knew it was not really a big trouble since it was limited to Yahoo, maybe an outage problem or Yahoo was blocked in my PC. I was just over reacting and paranoid because of the blogs I've read in my google reader about the virus. I googled the procedures in the shop since I can't crawl on yahoo pages or tech forum page to solve.

Flush out DNS cache
start-run-CMD-Ok
Ip config/flushdns

Within IE, try Tools/Internet Options/Privacy/Sites.. If yahoo is blocked, removed from the lists.

Start, Run, CMS, Ok to Open a Command Prompt. Type ping 216.109.112.135 or ping yahoo.com

Click tools-IE-connection tab click LAN settings-make sure nothing is checked there, then close it all down and try again or go to Privacy Tab-click Adv-Tick Options to override cookie to allow per session cookies.

Start Run, CMD
Reset WINSOCK entries to installation defaults netsh reset catalog
Reboot the machine.

And from the above procedures I googled, the first instinct i did was: reset my computer, delete all cookies and browser info, restore to earlier date, clean all files, delete all history, temporary set off my firewall, scanned everything, download updated antivir, proxy settings, delete temp folder items and turn off all security features, even used IE instead.

All these I tried, and nothing seemed to work. I was desperate.

Left with no option and nothing worked to resolve, I dialed my DSL provider and reported the problem to the CS who attended my call. I only said one line, "I can't open my yahoo." And CS promptly replied. "Sorry to hear that, I'll make a report for that, your Yahoo will be back in a few while."

After few minutes, my Yahoo came back online. what da!!! :D

heart's day

How's your Valentine's Day? Chinese New Year?
We're not Chinese or have any Chinese blood but we love Tikoy, Pancit, Siopao, Siomai or any Chinese food. There's no heavy traffic here in Manila Flower shop yesterday. Well I guessed lovers and shoppers already have bought flowers for their loved ones, a day before the heart's day celebration. We didn't actually celebrate Valentine's Day. T'was like any normal day for us, no cake, flowers or any sweets and that's part of our cost-cutting. We just had lunch here at home after our Parent-Teacher Conference. After attending mass late afternoon, we had pizza and pasta for dinner. We saw some dragon parade but I missed to take shots because of lowbat condition of my cam.

Here's my 1st entry here for Mellow Yellow Monday.
This is the Ube flavored Tikoy that we had. It is still in the fridge and haven't cooked yet.

And this is what my girls like best, Hopia with Tikoy flavor too. Too bad, three packs were already gone in a few while. They just love the new product from Eng Bee Tin. Hopia and Tikoy in one.

I hope you all had a blast yesterday, Valentine's Day and Chinese New Year.
My Mellow Yellow Monday.

will start my workout, promise

Today was supposed to be my first day of my workout. My friend texted me yesterday and I said yes, I'll make it tomorrow, and that's today. (doh!)  I was too lazy this morning, I went back to sleep  after my  morning routine. My morning usually starts at 4:30 in the morning, preparing breakfast for my girls and getting them ready for school. After cleaning up the mess, I usually go back to bed and take a morning nap again for another two hours. That's my routine, waking up before eleven and feeling bloated and tired from asleep. I've been practicing that over a year. I hope the gym will keep myself fit and light again. I'm quite conscious with my health right now, getting old means prone to sickness, to high blood pressure and a more serious problem, cancer. OMG, both my parents died of cancer and I'm so scared of that too.  Practicing a  healthier lifestyle is now on my  list.  I know, that once I start my workout, healthy and moderated food will  follow. Goodluck to me.
