Color Connection #4: Me-Time at Clarity

Photobucket

I just found the decorations inside Shangri-La Mall very colorful when I went to Clarity for my Diamond Peel. I grabbed the opportunity to take some pictures inside. Glad that I did it. Don't you find the decorations colorful too?

And here are some photos at Clarity.

A Vacation to Remember

I immediately replied to a vacation link that my friend sent me. I really want to take a vacation together with my whole family but of course there are some reasons that I had to consider. The budget is one factor that I had to say no. Some of my fellow bloggers are smart enough to book themselves into a luxury vacation at a very affordable price. Backpack travelers avail a big discount since they book their holidays in group. I want to take a Caribbean trip if I have the means. There are lots of website that offers a vacation that you will cherish for the rest of your life like the GrandCaymanVillas.net. I wish I can bring my whole family in an island too. Another long weekend is awaiting us but we cannot go somewhere else. The weather is not good to go out. There are quite good deals but the many factors that affect my decision are obviously on its way out to stop us and stay at home the whole weekend.

Nostalgia #58: My Kids and Their Playmates

I find this picture very cute because my little daughter had no hair to comb until she was five. I'm glad that her hair grows healthy and in fact she sports a very stylish haircut these days. Look at that smile. I think that she had her signature smile in all her pics. Sharing here is the pic of my two kids and their playmates in their pre-school years.

I So Love Shoes!

These are my shoes. Some of them are slightly used. My old shoes that are less frequently used are kept in a box. I organized my stuff yesterday and kept all my new shoes in a rack. I personally love them so whenever we go out in the mall, we always go to the particular section where shoes womens are on sale. I go for quality shoes and never mind about the price even if it costs me a big amount. I purchase them right away for I'm afraid to get home and regret of not buying it and come back to find out that no stocks are available.

Would you blame me for this obsession? I haven't used five pairs of the shoes here. MIL gave me few pairs of them while the rest are locally purchased. I go for wedge shoes. I want at least to appear two inches taller with these high heeled style. I am not blessed with height but I'm contented. I just want to enhance with whatever I already had.

Nostalgia #57: What have you done for me lately?

I'm back online but I won't be back in full. I have a handful of tasks that are waiting to be done soon. Anyways, I was online this afternoon and played this on YouTube. I love the music as it brings back memories back in the 80s. After watching the video, I noticed the superficial resemblance of Janet Jackson to her brother Michael Jackson (Miss him!) I remember those times when I had to wear thick shoulder pads and I felt like I was the smartest girl in the world. That fashion, funny, but I love it!

Surprise Your Loved Ones with Flowers!

I have no problem when it comes to buying cheap bouquet of flowers. When my daughter asked me to buy fresh flowers, I only had one stop shop in my mind. I had no hard time looking for it and even got a huge discount. We live near the drop off points of flowers and so during holidays or any events where flowers are needed as part of celebration, consumers come over to buy in bulks. Today, my life becomes easier and if I needed it, I just order them online. If you want flowers for all occasions, you can visit www.orderflowers.com and have different kinds available at the website. Your loved ones are waiting something from you. Visit the website now and surprise them. If you love waking up with flowers in bed, I'm sure they do too.

Color Connection #2 Colorful Ipanema

Photobucket

Ipanema is one of the flip flops that I love to wear everyday. You'll never go wrong with it because these flip flops are very fashionable and you can choose from different colors and style that you want. Pictures below were taken during the Ipanema event I attended held at SMEX few weeks ago.

I prefer the white with green strap. I love it, it looks very neat.

I just had a high dose vitamin this morning, in the mood for posting.

Thanks to Fedhz for this pic. :)

Nostalgia #56: at Manila Bay

The picture below was taken many years ago. Those were the days when my kids enjoy simple pleasure with just having those bubbles at Manila Bay. Honestly, I like the simplicity of life back then. We would just go somewhere and find a place where they can play bubbles freely. Now they are so much engaged with e-gadgets.

Look at them. I love this picture so much and my little girl who was only about two years old and still no hair. She was already in her grade school when her hair grew out.

Dreaming of my Own House

I have been dreaming to have my own house, it is always nice to have your own. My kids are growing up so fast and we really need to have bigger place too. But for now, it's hard to acquire a property because there are lots of things we need to consider right now. My friend who is now living abroad told me that buying a house is cheaper and affordable in their place. But just like my situation, they can't acquire yet for some other reasons. Financial is not a problem because there are lots of lending companies that are willing to finance them like car loan, appliances loan and even with rv financing. I know that sooner than soon, I will read a post in her blog about moving into their new house and I'll be as excited when that day comes.

Toy Stories: Baby Alive

Shopping Bag

This is my second entry for Toy Stories. When my little daughter saw the first Baby Alive doll somewhere, she kept insisting to buy one for her. It was too expensive so I said no. It costs around P5,000. ($100) Because she really wanted to have one, she called her grandma instead. On Christmas that year, she received this doll through a Balikbayan box. My daughter will be turning eleven this year but she's not ready yet to hand down the toy. She still loves to play the doll from time to time.

On the first day that she received the doll, she took care of the doll just like a real baby but I noticed that diapers were all consumed in just one day. I told her that meals need be served on time and should not be overfed. She learned about taking care of the baby but I did not buy more diapers anymore. When I was young, I only had rag doll which my mother sewed for us and I was happy and contented with it.

Finding a Job

My sister commented when I posted about the status of the company where she is currently employed right now. She said that she is thinking about putting up a business if worst things happen. She is not looking forward to it but she is just being practical and want to get ready for possible crisis she might be facing in the future. I told her that finding a job is just as easy at charlotte jobs available online. Anyways, she is not worried because she took a second course and is also a certified teacher. She could apply in a university or any secondary school should she decides to look for another job. She studied a second course so she'll get a fall back should any crisis comes along the way.

We cannot blame when other professionals like doctors and lawyers migrate to another country. They only want to get compensated with the professions they'd worked hard to attain the degree. Unemployment rate turns worse and people got no choice but to settle abroad for good.

Color Connection #1 Summer Dress

Photobucket

I got these summer dress from Kultura Filipino store for my daughter and my SIL. I picked this because of the great combination of color. I like the blending of black with colorful print. It stands out from the rest.

Did you see the other summer dress in the mannequin. This is the summer dress at the above pic. It was just rolled into a style. BTW, thanks to my MIL for the dress. :) My first entry to Color Connection. Please join us every Saturday as we share color of our choice. Just link your entry and put the badge above.

Hot Temperature

The temperature today soars to a whopping 35 degrees. The heat of the sun and the rays that directly enters the window of our house make the temperature hotter that leads us to mall today and watched a Kung Fu movie instead. We can't turn on the air conditioner for 24 hours and so during the time while the cooling machine is taking a break, we do other activities outside. I felt terribly bad with the weather. I am planning to buy made to measure blinds online so I could stay in the living room even during the day when the sun is at its brightest. I wish I could use the A/C 24/7 but for now, I'd just go to the mall everyday and do window shopping. Hurray!

Nostalgia #55: Old Phillipine Peso Bill

This old Philippine peso bill has been in my wallet for many years now. I seldom bring my wallet whenever I have to go outside but I believe about the good luck this old Peso bill brings. What I mean is good luck for keeping the wallet at home. It is safer not to bring it when I run some errands. I haven't used this wallet for years now. I was organizing my things this afternoon when I saw this again. Pardon but don't have new picture. This picture was taken last year and five more old bills were added. I think that it serves as lucky charm and if you may want to donate old peso bills, I would be happy to accept them and will start to keep them as my collection too. :p

Impact on Business

Sister is worried about about the economic situation of the country and its impact on their company. The company where she is working now shows sign that it might close anytime from now. There is no assurance that all the benefits that are due to her and all other employees will be given to them once the company declares bankruptcy. She thinks that only the wholesale insurance services are stabled these days. Nevertheless she is still in high hopes that the company that she is currently serving now will still able to cope up with the loss due to the decreasing value of foreign exchange rates. The appreciation of our currency only means low profit in their end because of the company's business which deals with export products.

Kultura Filipino at Mall of Asia

MOA is one of the malls that we frequent lately. Last Monday was a different experience for us when we visited the place together with my PILs who is in town for a short vacation. When we saw Kultura Filipino, we stopped by to see more of what the store can offer. While we were inside the store, we heard the music played from nowhere all of us were a little bit surprised when the employees danced to the tune of Leron Leron Sinta. I was at the counter at that time but my younger daughter was very quick and grabbed my camera and captured the first performance.

My PILs requested for a photo with them as a souvenir. I was glad that the employees graciously granted their request and made a quick pose.

Before I took the second shot, other staff rushed to us and posed for my camera. Take two.

Right after this picture, the sales staff told us to wait for their next dance number. This time, it's the classic pinoy song of Celeste Legaspi's Mamang Sorbetero.

The two sales staff in front make a perfect pair. With those beautiful smiles and moves, I think all of them deserve a big loud applause.

Obviously, all of us enjoyed a lot with the dance number especially my FIL.

At Kultura Filipino, shoppers will surely discover the very creative and unique products that can only be found in the Philippines. We bought two summer dresses, one for my daughter and one for my SIL. I also bought a jewelry box for a friend and pinoy shirts for hubby and FIL.

My american citizen FIL, a proud Filipino in heart and in mind.
I posted a video that I got from YouTube with the same dancing staff at Kultura Pinoy, MOA. I will definitely visit the store when we get the chance to go to the mall again. Please visit Kultura Filipino store for pinoy products and discover more of Pinoy's rich culture.
