Asin, Folk Rock Band

I was browsing videos of old rock and folk band as I was already "umay." (is there such a perfect translation for this word, Google suggests "fed up", uhmm, I don't think it fits..)   with Korean hits  and  found this rare video of  ASIN, as they performed on Myx Live Performance.



Asin is a Pinoy folk and folk rock band from the Philippines formed in 1977. They started as a trio in the late 1970s, and was originally known as the Salt of the Earth. They later changed their name to "ASIN", which means salt in Filipino language.  source: Wikipedia, The Free Encyclopedia

Congratulations KZ Tandingan, X Factor Philippines Grand Winner!

I have been updating X Factor in my previous post unfortunately my bets didn't make it to the final result night but  Daddy's Home and Gab will always be the winner in my heart.  Nevertheless KZ Tandingan, the newly crowned  winner for the first season  deserves  the title to represent the country's first ever  X Factor Season 1.   KZ Tandingan  from Digos City  got  the most number of  text and online votes,  54.77%,   and receive P4 million pesos plus and exclusive recording contract from Star Records. 

Daddy's Home got 12.90%   and  won the third place with  P50,000 prize  while Gab Maturan  got  32.33%  and  won the 2nd place with  P100,000 prize. 

The final night was  held at the PAGCOR Grand Theater, Paranaque City.

Congratulations Manny Pacquiao!!

Having the advantages in size and weight, still Margarito did not make it to win the fight. What's surprising here is that Margarito still up in 12th round after bruised and messy face and punches he received from Manny's hand. Manny Pacquiao was just as quick as lightning. The fight ended up to the last 12th round. Manny Pacquiao wins record 8th world title via unanimous decision over Antonio Margarito. Pacquiao with face as good as first round is now holding the WBC Super Welterweight Title. You just made the Filipinos on top of the world again!

You Got It

I can't get over with the concert last night. I watched PGT You Got It Concert and Jovit Baldivino made the opening number in the reunion concert. This young man impressed me more with what he had shown last night in his rock star voice performing Bon Jovi's hits. He also played the guitar in his acoustic duet with Yeng Constantino. I think it was his first time to perform in a big stage not as a contestant but a real artist. Way to go Jovit!

I'm just so happy that there's online games to fill up my boredom. It is not only me who is fan of playing online games but my children as well. We celebrate Saint Joseph the Worker or traditional Labor Day all over the world today, May 1. It's another long weekend for us but for some, it is a busy working day. My closest friend who lives in US might be a little busy by this time too. He just informed me yesterday about this scamdicappers and was thinking about getting a premium subscription later. Although he was not really surprise about it, he still checked the best handicapper. I heard about this site before for best sports handicappers and now I found myself browsing the site and telling other friends to check the website too.

He may or may not try it but it will surely give him a cool time to gather more news or a sort of entertainment for a while. He asked me who is the best handicappers to follow and I clearly answered him back that I go for NFL. Why on earth did he ask me about this. And whom should I go or follow? Well then, I told him to check it for himself as I have no knowledge about it. John Mayer 's Concert

John Mayer's concert in Manila will be on May 16, 8pm at SM Mall of Asia Concert Grounds but I don't think I could make it. I remember my blogger with this concert. She's dying to see John Mayer and even before the concert was announced, she already has prepared, practiced JM's song and posted this. But then, I'll just content myself for the promise that she'll hug and kiss JM for me and I'll just watch him on YOuTube.
