The owner of the blog who copied my content sincerely apologized so I rephrased this post.
I put a lot of effort in my blog. It always takes me too much time editing before a post goes live in my dashboard. I spend dollars to cover the design, hosting, domain and everything for this site because this is an investment that I value a lot.
Two days ago, Dunsulan Falls was featured on TV for summer segment. After that episode, my analytics showed Dunsulan Falls as my top keywords. Today, after seeing that Dunsulan is still on my top 10 most searched post, I checked for myself on what page in search engine would my blog appear using the same keyword.
And that led me to discover this.
This blogger copied my post and my photo below. He posted Dunsulan Falls last year. I encircled the words and photo that he exactly copied.
Date Published: July 2013.
And the same article with my blog content was submitted to another website.

To the owner of the site who stole my content,
My blog is not up for grabbing. Please stop copying my content and take it down within 24 hours before I proceed to the next step.
Oh my gosh! How could somebody just copy paste somebody else's work like that? This is a crime and shouldn't be tolerated! We are blogging to share information yes but can't you put it in your own words?!? What a shame! I think most of the people knows that stealing is a crime and copy pasting one's article is stealing! Oh well... I hope whoever that is will now learn how to make his/her own article! Or if he/she can't write then do a research. READ only and get an idea! Be FAIR people! Work your ass off!!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you very much for the input. I was at first got mad too but I took down after a sincere apology. Let this be a lesson to the site owner and to all. Even without blog copyright symbol, we should all know for all reasons, that it is protected by copyright and know how to respect the site, ask permission and give credit and not claim as her/his own.
Deleteit took us hours, sweat and blood to reach dunsulan. sabi ko nga noon, sukdulan ang byahe marating ka lang dunsulan. buti naman inalis na nya. isa lang ibig sabihan nyan, nuts, our trips our so worth it. byahe na ulit!!!
ReplyDeleteOn the the other side, that trip remains on top my my most searched post. Tara na. Byahe na! This post reminds me of something, (other than copying) how we get there and how famished we were on our way to next destination. But who am I to complain when it was John who's terribly tired driving all the way to Pawikan. I'm lost with the real topic, I'm just being carried away. :)

ReplyDeleteExactly Techa! How I discovered it was by accident. Indeed, I have no time checking but there's a plugin I think where we will be automatically alerted should somebody else copied our content.
