Manila at its coldest

I can't imagine waking up to this temperature, 16.9 Degrees Celsius. It is so far the coldest I've ever experienced here in Manila. While I'm updating this, I can still feel the cold temperature and it is already past 8am in the morning.

And Baguio.. And I suddenly miss our trip last year. Could you imagine how the weather is going on there right now.  It is said that the  temperature up north is recorded to be 8 degrees and even colder in Sagada where vegetables were reported to have frost bite. I can only sigh. If only I can transport myself up north today and somehow experience a winter-like morning with the locals.

According to PAGASA, the coldest ever recorded was 6.3 degrees on January 18, 1961. This cold weather will continue to experience cooler days until the end of February, when the northeast monsoon or “hanging amihan” ends according to PAGASA. The northeast monsoon or seasonal winds from the northeast is the cold air from China that starts blowing into the country every mid-October. It usually peaks from early January to mid-February.

Finally!

Should I blog this?  That I am such a bummer?   Am I the last person on earth to update to OS7?  or is there already a newer version?   I am such a loser.  Months ago, Apple announced its new OS version and  my  timeline were flooded of my friends' photos of  their updated version.    Every time a message pops,  I  always ignore it knowing it wouldn't make any difference using the old one. And whenever I try,  battery seemed to be uncooperative and always in low bat status.  And I forget!

So today,  I did something worth to make my life and online life easier.  How could I wait such a long period of time to click that button "update".   Such a bummer!

Sometimes, I just want to blog such as this to remind myself  to never procrastinate.

Ondoy-like rains

Did I read it right? I was just browsing the net and found this in the news. Storm Megi to hit Cagayan Valley, may bring Ondoy-like rains? source. OMG! I pray to spare this country again from devastating flood. It was just last year September 2009 when we experienced heavy flooding and was told it only happened once in one hundred years. Oh please, spare us, not again, not this soon :(

Typhoon Basyang

I stayed late last night to monitor the weather to check if my children will have class the next day. Obviously, the wind blew very hard and as expected, suspension of classes for all levels was declared. Just after the weather update was announced, power went out system-wide. It was really dark as the whole Metro had total blackout. I heard the howling sound of the wind and that made me stayed awake and monitor the weather instead. It was about past eleven that night. I half opened the window to at least have a little air since we have no enough ventilation inside the house due to power blackout, but as I opened it, strong wind blew right into my face. Typhoon Ondoy suddenly flashed back into my memory. I honestly was a bit scared with this fear that another strong typhoon will hit again the Metro. I looked for a radio and tuned into the latest update. Total blackout and no network signal, so I thought it could be another Ondoy. PAGASA forecast issued a warning signal number 2 to hit Manila, but it was stronger than what I have witnessed last night. Typhoon may not have damaged the Metro but the experience we had last year kept myself alert and prepared for worst scenario. My cellphone is still in no network coverage status as of this moment and I really don't how long will it be fixed. Network said, not until full power supply is served.

I am sick

"mother mother i am sick
call the doctor very quick
doctor doctor shall i die
no my darling do not cry.."

oh no, i am so sick today. i kept on sneezing the past two days, with runny nose and headache and now my body is feeling so weak with cough and colds. I just took medicine and hope that I will get better soon. The med has this sleepy effect and I'm feeling a little dizzy now. My only fear is that, the virus might spread in the house. Oh no. Not my kids please. Got to hit the bed now and isolate myself. I'll be up later, I just need more hours of sleep.

Oh well, don't worry too much, I think I'm still ok, I can still blog.

what's up

First off, I'd like to thank Rose for tagging me as Beautiful Blogger. So, I deserve it. Lol. I'll work for the tag soon. Thanks also for all your reply in my inquiries especially about blog thing problem. I hope to catch you again online. The problem is, daytime here means bedtime in your end.

My plurkmate, online friend turned personal, (even without seeing her in person) is going through a tough time but I know she can get over it. I'll ask permission first if i could link her site here since it's a personal blog and she doesn't want everybody to crawl on her page. Not today, because of her today's post. Well she's to launch a new blog, so let's just wait for that and see. She's a little emo today. Girl, you can get over it, you'll see one day, you'll laugh about it.

Yes, its Saturday once again. I was supposed to attend Supermom Blog Event (again, supermom, that's me!) Haha, but important thing came up yesterday and needed to be prioritized. But then, the said appointment was moved. Sad. I should have attended the event instead. I know it will be fun filled activities and sure moms who participated have enjoyed. Sure. A blast.

Well, got a lot of things to do. I won't mention it here. Not now. I was in front of computer the whole morning, it's weekend anyway and I'm starting to experience some blog syndrome already. Lol. Anyways, before I put that blog syndrome into detail, let me first go straight to this post. I'm already in my 200th words (as if this is a paid post). My previous post in my blog were all about food. My scheduled post for Yummy Sunday will be up later. Now, my daughters are craving for Leche Flan. And I'll be blogging about it too, the smoothest Leche Flan ever. I stole the recipe from the famous Blogger Pehpot. I actually subscribed and bookmarked her page, so as not to miss any menu. It seems like I'll open a new blog about food (no, that's a joke, I don't think I could maintain it). My two, I mean three blogs are more than enough to make me busy. I'm no Pehpot who never run out of ideas in all of her eight blogs. You read it correct, eight blogs. Only Super Blogger can manage that. And yes, she did! She's a Super Blogger!

So there, gotta go to supermarket again to replenish grocery items. Yes! First item in our list, ingredients for Leche Flan. Bye now. Happy Weekend!
