Basketball Madness

Photos below are not mine. Daughter took these shots during the basketball game last Thursday and she was cheering for yellow. She and her classmates went home in gloomy face when their school lost the game.

excited!!!

I am much too excited. My little girl will have her first lyre performance tomorrow. Yey! I am more than excited that even if the uniform is not really done yet, I took it from the shop and just do myself the finishing touch at home. I just want to make sure I will not run out of time tomorrow and everything is okay and prepared for the event. Just a small event. I'm just over acting again. I'm not that excited, right? I'm not! I'm not just excited, but over excited!
*excited=5x mentioned in the post. :)

she's into lyre instrument

According to Wikipedia, lyre is a stringed musical instrument well known for its use in classical antiquity and later. The word comes from the Greek "λύρα" (lyra) and the earliest reference to the word is the Mycenaean Greek ru-ra-ta-e, meaning "lyrists", written in Linear B syllabic script. The earliest picture of a lyre with seven strings appears in the famous sarcophagus of Hagia Triada.

And here's what keeps my daughter busy these days.

Costumes for my Children

Kids love to wear different costumes. My younger daughter joined joined almost all the organizations and events during her pre school years. She even won an award for best costume. During nutrition month, she wore a strawberry dress and she was amazed by different fruit costumes of her classmates. And now that she's a little grown up, she's still active in joining different events in her school like playing lyre instrument. This morning, I looked for a dress shop that will sew her uniform but the adviser recommended me a shop that provides a complete set for a club member. She loves trying different style. If she's only to wear a male's costume, I guess she would try different Costume Kingdom for other occasions too.

While my younger daughter is involved in playing musical instrument, my older daughter is proud and active member of Girl Scout in their school. I think kids need to be involved in some activities like this to keep them active in real world. They might be busy online sometimes but to balance it, I told them to keep their studies and school organizations active too. Oh well, I'll be off in a while to buy costume and uniform for my children. I hope to find the exact size that will fit them, if not, I'll just look for one shop online.

Science Camp

It was really a tiring day for us last weekend not only for my my girl who actively joined the activites but myself also as a mom who was there for my daughter in the camp. If you think I am OA to be with her in the camp, well it's very ok for me to be called an OA mom. Just a caring mom. I'm a mother and so I know when to let her go on her own in the camp. It was also a bonding time for us. My older daughter didn't go with us. She's quite busy with her projects and prefer much to stay in the house, reading teenage magazine and books. It only means she's grown up, knows her priorities, and prefers to be home with her stuff.

"wait mom, want to see the view from the tree house"
as she was hurrying upstairs to reach the top..jumped out for joy at the tree house

one experience she will never forget.
she actually had seen planets Saturn and Mars.

and only a wish to experience to slip and slide down
in giant water slide..
