Always a Pleasant Suprise!

Such a pleasant surprise waking up on the morning with someone at the gate,  "delivery po, hot pandesal."  And what could be more surprising when a visit is done in the evening when I'm in my pyjamas and  about to sleep?  (no, not about to sleep. I'm a late sleeper and late riser person,  just a dramatic speech)  I hate waking up early  but  as the rules say,  there is always an exemption.. certainly,  you put a smile in my face.  You  always surprise me and I love you to bits.  Mapa-umaga, tanghali at gabi.  This morning is another pandesal-and-coffee day with these beautiful couple who biked their way to my place.  I am amazed with how you spend  and start your day..  a visit and another  way of  sweating out and burning calories.  Such a healthy lifestyle!

Definitely,  another  day to be thankful  for,  having early morning conversation and..

I wish I could join with you  but I am more than happy  that you find time to visit  me  home.   You guys are amazing!

One Day at the Garage Sale

Yard sale serves us a lot of benefits.  Bonding, earning, discovering life and getting rid of our own trash/mess,  to name a few.    Everyday has a different story.  So to say,  it's always a day full of fun.

During our garage sale,  I checked all my friend Joy's  items which I think I can wear  in the future.   I felt some kind of regrets selling and seeing   old  stuff  being given away.

I checked through all the clothes for sale  and took this one that shines,  out of the many items  on the rack.  I found it, literally, shinning shimmering gold.  My friend Joy was selling this  almost on  a steal price,  like yes, a giveaway.  For $2, you can have 3 to 5 items while some of them were rarely use.

So I got the gold sleeve blouse   and matched it with blue scarf.  Tadaaa!    I was supposed to wear this in  coming  event but since I already wore it  here like I am already at the event,  I am thinking to save it in next few months till I buried this post in my old archive.

And so I saved these two,  gold and blue..

The clothes that we are selling, but just  saved them  for a different purpose.

Battling middle life  crisis becomes easier when there is  someone beside  you that keeps reminding the valuable  purpose of   this emotion in  life.

Mid-Life Crisis Ahead

I always knew what I wanted in life. I want to have smart kids and be with them as they grow up. I already sorted out what I would be from the moment my children came to my life. I'd be a perfect mom for them, a mom who'd  always be available 24/7.

I started an early career in my life and thought I already have had enough of it. I retired at an early age from the  corporate world. I have no regrets about it, I thought.

I spent my everyday life as a stay at home mom. For over ten years, I kept doing the same thing over and over again. Its a fulfilling job,  I said.

When I turned 40, that's where I started  to ask myself what I would have become should I take another chance and other opportunities in life.  That started my thinking of how would I have enjoyed my life should I take a different  path.   I became uncertain of many things and  started to  think about my future and how to catch up with  time that I really think I've lost.  That made me depressed most of the times and asked myself, "Where is my life going?"

After sorting out things and to help me  understand more of what I am going through,  I asked help from Google and this I found out.   Am  I  having  a midlife crisis?

Midlife Crisis, Stress and Depression Midlife

Crisis 'Midlife Crisis' is something that happens to many of us at some point during our lives (usually, at about 40, give or take 20 years). Midlife Crisis is a natural process (first identified by the psychologist Carl Jung) and it is a normal part of 'maturing'. However, Midlife Crisis can sometimes feel very uncomfortable, and cause people to seek psychotherapy or counseling, or to make radical lifestyle changes that can be very damaging and are regretted later. It can help to view Midlife Crisis from the perspective of differing personality types, as this will give you a greater understanding of what is happening.

If you are going through midlife crisis, you might experience a wide range of feelings, such as:

Discontent with life and/or the lifestyle that may have provided happiness for many years

Boredom with things/people that have hitherto held great interest and dominated your life

Feeling adventurous and wanting to do something completely different Questioning the meaning of life, and the validity of decisions clearly and easily made years before

Confusion about who you are, or where your life is going.

A MAJOR TURNING POINT?

December 21, 2012 has become the most anticipated date of our age. Over the past several years we have been flooded with overwhelming information that the world is going to end this December. Numerous websites, television documentaries, newspaper articles and radio reports are continuously cropping up across the globe and warning us of impending disasters of massive proportions. We practically don’t know what to believe anymore!

Where did all this come from? This all stemmed from a calendar created by the Mayans, an ancient civilization. The Mayan calendar was a very precise calendar that accurately predicted events, such as eclipses, years before they actually happened. Surprisingly, this long count calendar ends exactly on December 21, 2012, 11:11 am (UTC- Coordinated Universal Time) or 7:11 pm (PT – Philippine Time). Because of that, many people began speculating that this is a prophecy that the world will end on that date. This rumour immediately spread around the globe like wild fire, especially now that mass media has begun jumping on the bandwagon.

Because of all of this negative news, a lot of people around the world are getting frightened. Fear has become intensified after television documentaries have shown real footage of survival bunkers being constructed globally, where the elite can hide for years starting on the dreaded day. One documentary even showed million-dollar arks being built for the mega-rich. Several have also started stock piling food supplies, water and other essentials of survival.

How about you? Are you going to be in a space of FEAR or a space of LOVE come December 21, 2012? John Calub, the Philippines’ number one success coach has come out to the public, in a recently held press conference, to boldly declare that there is no reason to be afraid on December 21, 2012. John Calubexclaims that only God knows when the world will end. He cites a Bible verse that reads, ““However, no one knows the day or hour when these things will happen, not even the angels in heaven or the Son himself. Only the Father knows. (Matthew 24:36)”. With the vision of moving people from fear back to love (our true essence), John Calub has gathered the country’s best motivational speakers to do a live conference and celebration called TURNING POINT 2012, which will happen on December 21, 2012, 1:00 pm to 12:00 am at the SMX Convention Center, Mall of Asia, Pasay City. According to John, instead of being afraid, why not make December 21 a major turning point of your life and move yourselffrom poverty to abundance, suffering to happiness and failure to success. Be empowered in the Turning Point 2012 conference by Pido Aguilar (Best-selling author of the book Abundance), Dr. Christian Mancao (Pain Management Expert), Paolo Trinidad (Founder of Pinoy Laughter Yoga), SainayahGurnamal (Life Coach and Healer), Tony Suvega (FengShui Master), Dr. Kevin Plata (Clinical Psychologist), and much much more! Also, get amazed and entertained by the laser light display and magic show of master illusionist JB Dela Cruz. Plus song and dance numbers from D-Coy and various artists. One of the highlights of the Turning Point 2012 Conference is the Hug Festival, where thousands of Filipinos will hug one another in a designated time in the spirit of love, peace and harmony. John Calub hopes to grow Hug Festival into an annual activity and soon make it to the Guiness Book of World Records with the record of the having the most number of people hugging at a time and longest hug chain ever done.

Tickets for Turning Point 2012 are available for only P500.00 at all SM Tickets outlets in all SM Cinemas nationwide. For inquiries, you may call John Calub Training at 748-7646 or log on to www.johncalubtraining.com. For updates, LIKE John Calub’s fan page at www.facebook.com/johncalubtraining.

Health Insurance

I am blessed! I am not blessed materially but having two healthy daughters is enough for me to be happy. I only wish simple things in life and that is to have a healthy family and friends I can call on when I'm down. I am contented to whatever I have in my possession. I consider simple things as as big treasure and always thank above for providing things for us. I have been into the hardest and lowest point of life and that experience helped me understand what life is all about. I always remind my kids that life in not always easy and fair, and that we need to prepare and save a little money everyday. Maybe, I should get a child health insurance to insure their future and not to worry much when hard time in life comes.

Senior Living

Have you ever thought about how you will become when you grow old. As I reach the old age, (I am not sure what age to be called old age) I never thought that I would find myself more sensitive about this but not scared of the future as what you might think about. As I walked down the park yesterday, I saw an old woman alone in the bench and by just looking at her, I knew already that she's living her senior life in misery. She's probably on her seventies. I suddenly stopped for a while and imagine myself thirty more years and that scares me to think about living senior life that way. Oh no, I should start saving for my retirement years.

At Senior Living Plano, retirees live a life with pleasure. A convenient life like strolling in a landscaped garden, swimming in a luxury pool while reminiscing beautiful past and quiet moment in a chapel are just a perfect view of senior living with style. What a beautiful community! I hope to live a life like this when I reach my retirement age.
